It could be worse…a short tale of embarrassment..

It could be worse…
When I was around 14 we had an awesome family dog that required a great deal of exercise. The job of keeping him run ragged usually fell to me. Not that I minded, the more time I spent outdoors the happier I was. So, having been delegated the task of walking him as usual on Saturday afternoon, I took off running with… the dog (Theo) towards the woods not a quarter mile from our house. It started as a regular walk with the dog going crazy, racing in all directions stretching his legs and generally going as fast as he could. I ran too, which only served to get the pooch even more excited about life. It was only the beginning. After a mile or so of breakneck speed, we came across another couple walking an absolutely beautiful Golden Retriever. Theo immediately took a shine to the other animal and began mounting it with impressive enthusiasm. Of course at 14 years of age, I was more than a little embarrassed and did my best to keep dragging my dog off theirs, apologizing profusely each time I did. Secretly, of course, I was a little proud of Theo’s abundant sexual appetite as he systematically went about mounting this very willing dog from every angle. In the end it was so out of hand I felt obligated to reassure the other dog owners that no matter how amorous his advances, their pet was in no danger of getting pregnant, because poor Theo was castrated and not working with a whole “tool” kit. “Oh, no worries,” they replied, “our dogs a male too. We aren’t concerned.” How fast do you think I left the scene dragging my pooch behind me..
